EMC presents: Comedy Night in English in Ryazan!

Hey there, stand-up fans!

English Moscow Comedy is the only organization in Russia which does regular stand-up shows in English. EMC’s comedians have perfromed all over Europe, Balkans, parts of Asia, and gathered 500 people on the 1st of April 2017 in Dom Kino (The Big Stand-up Show). EMC also did two shows in the open-air cinema "Pioner" in Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure and Sokolniki Park, perform regularly for "English First" school, organized two stand-up comedy tournaments with 30.000 rubles winning fond, and performed in more than 10 bars, clubs, cafes, schools, universities, theaters etc. in Moscow since it’s inception.

We strongly believe that people do speak English in the rest of Russia and the first city to try our theory is going to be RYAZAN. If you are from Ryazan, you like stand-up, you always wanted to watch stand-up in English live and if you actually can understand what is written here - this is your chance.☺

Four  international comedians from four different parts of our planet are going to entertain you with their jokes, based on their experience of living in Russia, traveling, relationships, stereotypes and more! 

Line-up for the evening:

David Muñoz (Australia)
David is a Spanish-born Australian, who’s been living in Russia for over 2 years in total. Performing since 2015, David is a unique storytellier, mixing his vivid stories with expressional and theatrical body language. He’s been a regular at EMC’s weekly showcases for more than half a year, and reached semi-finals of EMC’s Last Comic Standing stand-up tournamtent.

Arun Khurana (India)
Arun claims he got into comedy because his girlfriend dumped him, so he was free in the evenings. Yeah right Arun. Like you’ve ever had a girlfriend. His style, combining his experiences as a foreigner stuck in Moscow for 25 years, his family’s conservative background and his bad luck with women, is sure to strike a chord with every audience. Arun has been doing stand-up for more than 2 years now, and has hosted and performed on shows in Moscow, Malaysia, India, Slovakia, Poland, Austria and Czech Republic, as well as on Indian Independance Day, biggest Indian festival in Russia, in front of more than 1000 people!

Denis Nikolin (Russia)
A real Russian man, Denis was born and raised in Moscow, but spent part of his youth living in Berlin and Barcelona, where he encountered all the western stereotypes of Russian folk. Already an established actor, Denis started doing comedy almost 3 years ago, and was one of the first English-speaking performers in Moscow. Besides his regular stand-up performances, Denis also hosts The Humourhoids panel show, in addition to acting and producing for TV.
He has performed in multiple venues across Moscow, as well as Zagreb, Belgrade, Ljubljanja, Vienna, Prague, Bratislava, Wroclaw, Brno, Stockholm and Berlin, opened for Craig Campbell in November 2015, and headlined EMC’s The Big Stand-Up Show in April 2017 in front of 500 people. Denis is one of two founders and managers of English Moscow Comedy.

Your host: Igor Mondae (Croatia)
Originaly from Croatia, Igor’s experience with Eastern Europe started in Ukraine, and continued in Moscow, where he’s been stationed for the past 5 years. As a comedian, Igor’s active for over 3 years; performing, hosting and organizing shows in over 20 venues around Moscow. He is currently the regular host of the Comedy Heroes Showcase, a full 2 hour entertainment show in the center of Moscow, that’s been runninng weekly for the last two years. In addition, Igor hosted the shows on the From Russia with Laugh Balkan tour in 2016 (Slovenia/Croatia/Serbia) and European tourn in 2017 (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germay), opened for Craig Campbell in Moscow and Daniel-Ryan Spaulding in Zagreb, perfomed on the first ever English stand-up show in Riga, and acts as a regular panelist on The Humourhoids panel show.
Alongside Denis, he is the founder of English Moscow Comedy.

Привет, любители стэндапа!

English Moscow Comedy — единственная в России организация, делающая регулрные стэндап выступления на английском языке. Наши комики исколесили всю Европу, Балканы, кто-то выступал в Азии и в прошлом году, на первое апреля, мы собрали 500 человек в Белом Зале Дома Кино на Белорусской! ("The Big Stand-Up Show") Так же мы выступаем регулярно для школы английского языка English First, дважды делали шоу в открытом кинотеатре "Пионер", в общей сложности только за 2017й год выступали в 8 заведениях по всей Москве. 

Наши резиденты выступали в барах, клубах, кафе, театрах, открытых кинотеатрах, но всё это было в Москве. Сейчас они готовы на очередной героический поступок — выступление в Рязани! Если ты из Рязани, любишь стэндап, всегда хотел посмотреть стэндап на английском вживую и ещё и говоришь по-английски, — тогда это твой шанс!! 

Четыре профессиональных комика из 4х разных частей мира приедут в Рязань 18го февраля и будут развлекать тебя проверенными в разных странах шутками, основанных на их опыте проживания в России, путешествиях, отношениях, стереотипахх и многом другом!
